- Sale! This package will release and open a locked or unlocked door, pause for entrance or exit, and then return the door to its closed position. If you would like to extend the time the door is open, you can do so by pushing the remote control again. The door will stay open as long as you like. To close the door, simply push the remote once again. The door remains free-swinging for manual use. Important note: Some doors manufactured by door & window companies have proprietary 3-point locking systems, with upper and lower latches (or pins) as well as a latch on the side of the door. The upper and lower pins will have to be retracted or removed. The latch on the side of the door should be a standard cylindrical door latch in order to facilitate automatic release via an electric strike. We suggest lightly modified mounting positions of both the door operator and arm in order to create greater forces needed to open and close the door through the tight weather seals.
